FASD Impact Week!

I attended and photographed Impact Week in DC. The symposium was so inciteful, collaborating with researchers, educators, doctors, lawyers, SLP's, OT's, social workers, parents, and self-advocates to move the needle on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. Working together to make the difference in the lives of those living with FASD makes all the difference. Find your seat at the table.

The research! It was intense and inspiring to learn what researchers are doing across the nation to understand prenatal exposure in a deeper way and then help us pass that information along to those with whom we come in contact and support.

Then everyone grabbed their red shoes and headed for the Hill to advocate for legislation to support FASD. Led by some great leaders. ! in 7. Not Rare--Everywhere.

Take a look at this amazing group of self-advocates, young and not so young!

DC's finest headed to the National Press Club for the annual Red Shoes Gala...So many great red shoes to symbolize FASD Awareness!

How cute is this sweet girl twirling in that darling dress? And her shoes?! LOVE!

We were inspired with learning how the seed was planted as NOFAS so many years ago, and has bloomed into FASD United. While enjoying a delightful dinner.

Raise your PETAL for FASD!

Thank you, FASD United and Advocates for a great Impact Week and for trusting me with capturing this ground-breaking work. I am honored to journey with you to bring about change!
