There is nothing quite like young love. I did not know this groom before we met to talk about his proposal dreams, but now he is like an old friend! We talked, we met, we texted, talked some more. I scoped out locations. So did he. And together, as he prayed, we were able to map out a plan that would surprise his (now) fiance, and create the perfect moment according to what they both would like. And so, when the day came, I hid in some bushes. And waited.

Nothing has prepared me more than the photography I do for the church. On location, variable light. Nothing staged. Just prep and pray for the best. This session did not disappoint. 

I had to stealthily move as they walked up so she wouldn't see me. 

It all happened in a few moments, but these images sure do seem like it was a slow-motion film!

He really wanted photos in nature and by water, so off we went for some sunset photos by a frozen lake!
